This is a picture taken from Space during the night time. It shows you where on earth there is light, so this shows you where the most densely populated areas are. This is where you do not want to be going during the Zombie Apocalypse.
The lit up areas represent highly populated centers that will be the perfect spawn place for new zombies. There will also be the most survivors, in the beginning, fighting for supplies and resources. This will be the most dangerous place to be and the best thing you can do is leave these areas as fast as possible in case of World War Z.
As you can see on the US map below, the sparsely populated west is a much better place to survive than the tightly packed east.
As for Europe, this is going to be hard as I live in Europe myself!
